Have you discovered the bustling neighborhood of Gongguan? Do you need a dinner break between all the shopping? Then Gongguan Night Market, famous for its many different food stalls, is there to help you out. The best part is that it's right outside the metro station, so you can spend even more time looking around in the diverse stores of Gongguan! 

Ride the Green Line in the Xindian direction to Gongguan Station and choose exit number 1. The night market will be immediately to your right. 

If you want vegetarian food at the market, we have some recommendations. One of them is the Vegetarian Submarine Sandwich & Burger stand. They have both sandwiches and burgers, we have tried the burgers and really liked them. You can choose either “flavor of meat” or “flavor of chicken”, one of us prefers the “meat” and the other the “chicken”, so it all depends on your own taste. It‘s NTD $55 for a burger. You get the burger with salad, cucumber and tomato and sauce. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The stand is unfortunately not there every single day, and we are not sure which days that are. But if they are there when you visit the market, we really recommend you trying their burgers! 

The other vegetarian place we recommend is the Vegetable Wrap stand. The wrap is filled with vegetables, apples and a bit of peanut butter, and costs NTD $45. A very nice wrap with a lot of taste, the apple makes it feel fresh and the peanut butter makes it more exciting than your regular wrap. Unfortunately it’s also not always there, and we are not sure about what days. But if it’s there when you visit, it’s really a must try! 

The third vegetarian place we recommend is the Indian Wrap stand, contrary to the others it’s not completely vegetarian, but it has a vegetarian option. Just ask for “one vegetarian wrap” and they will make you the vegetarian, which costs NTD $70. It’s mixture of vegetables, chickpeas and mushrooms with taste of curry and is very creamy. They are not there Wednesdays and Thursdays.
