Let us introduce you to Baskin-Robbins, one of the best ice cream places we have tried. Originally from the US, the franchise has expanded to Asia, while most Europeans, South Americans and Africans are sadly missing out.

The nearest Baskin-Robbins is in Q Square mall, next to Taipei Main Station and a five minute walk from Beimen WOW. It's on level B3, so below ground level, and it's possible to sit there or walk around. The shop is open everyday from 11am to 9:30pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 10pm. 

It’s a bit pricey, NTD $110 for one flavour, NTD $140 for two or NTD $150 for three, either in a cone or a cup. There are also different options other than just having the ice cream, such as Waffle Cone Sundae or Ice Cream Crepe for example. But the flavor makes it worth its price. Not only the flavours, but also the texture is really nice, it doesn’t feel plain at all. Here we have flavours like Cotton Candy, Sakura, Rainbow Sherbet, Chocolate mint, Banana’n Strawberry and also local flavours like Matcha and Dainagon Azuki. 

We ourselves feel that chocolate flavoured ice cream usually taste a bit bland, but here it’s very flavourful and with a smooth texture. We personally would recommend the chocolate together with the Love Potion 31, which is a raspberry flavour ice cream with chocolate hearts that works very well with the chocolate flavoured ice cream. Other flavors that are worth trying is Rainbow Sherbet, Popping Shower, Rocky Road and Sakura.
