Must do in Taiwan: Singing Karaoke 

Yes, you read it correctly. There is one thing you must do if you visit Taiwan: Going to a KTV! So, that’s what we did. We booked a private room for our group of 8 person. At the beginning we needed a little time to warm up, because for some of us it was the first time. As soon as we overcome the initial shyness we had quite much fun by singing all the songs. Luckily they provide a large selection of songs in different languages - we could even found one in German. ;) We had planned to stay for three hours and finally extended to four hours. We had just such a great time that we didn’t want it to stop. At the end each one of us had to pay NT$ 325 for four hours of fun. I would say that’s more than reasonable.

How to get there?
It’s a 950m walk and takes round about 13 minutes: Leave Beimen Wow Pohstel and turn right into Taiyuan Road. After following the road for 120m please turn left into Chang‘an West Road. Follow this road for around 820m until you reach the karaoke bar on the right side - please be aware that meanwhile the road name changes into Section 1, Chang‘an East Road. The Karaoke bar is on the 12th level of one high-rise building.

P.S.: I would recommend you to bring one person, who is able to speak Mandarin, in order to communicate with the owner. You are also allowed to bring your own snacks and soft drinks.
